Hangetsu is one of the forms mentioned in the textbook Taekwondo (1) written by Choi Hong-hi. More formally part of Karate, the form was omitted from later editions of the textbook, and is consequently no longer learnt by students of Taekwondo.

Interpretation

In Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, this literally means 'half moon'.
